Overview
Partners for World Health (PWH) is a non-profit 501(c)3 based in Portland, Maine. PWH collects medical supplies and equipment from healthcare facilities, manufacturers, other organizations, and individuals. We sort, evaluate, repackage, and prepare these supplies and equipment for distribution to individuals, communities, and healthcare facilities that are in critical need of them.
Our work limits the impact on the environment by diverting materials from landfills; lowers healthcare costs by lowering disposal fees; and provides healthcare resources to those in need. PWH aims to improve health conditions by sending medical personnel on medical missions to the developing world and educating New England communities about global health issues and providing them opportunities to assist.

Services Offered
MEDICAL MISSION
In addition to collecting and redistributing surplus medical supplies, PWH plays a critical role in healthcare delivery and education and training in developing countries. Every year, PWH organizes several medical mission trips in partnership with hospitals in Africa and Southeast Asia.
MEDICAL SUPPLIES
The Medical Supply and Equipment Collection Program (MSECP) works with over 100 medical partners throughout New England to collect excess medical supplies and equipment for partners in the developing world and those in need in our communities.
VOLUNTEER
The success of PWH depends upon the hard work of our volunteers (believe it or not, 98% of our staff are volunteers). The primary task of volunteers is to sort through and organize the thousands of pounds of medical supplies that we collect. We welcome both individuals and groups to come to our warehouse and assist us with this important work.
