Overview
In My Father’s Kitchen, Inc. (IMFK) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation registered with the New York Department of State on September 7, 2011. It was founded by John and Leigh-Ann Tumino, and is a faith-based organization offering non-denominational and non-discriminatory assistance to homeless people through direct street outreach.
As John and Leigh-Ann build relationships with chronically homeless individuals they identify and meet the unique needs of homeless people not yet ready to leave the streets and who refuse to stay in emergency shelters. As a result, IMFK provides food and basic necessitates to homeless individuals where they live on the streets, on a consistent and compassionate basis, until the homeless individual is comfortable accepting help and working with community agencies to secure housing.
IMFK has one full-time employee, one full-time volunteer, 30-35 core volunteers, and as many as 60 volunteers for community events.

WHAT WE DO
We provide outreach to the unemployed homeless and pan-handlers in the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County.
The “Hire Ground” program gives panhandlers and the unemployed homeless in Syracuse and Onondaga County an opportunity for change in their lives by offering work experience through day labor and connections to needed support services.
GALLERY OF HOPE
We are excited to be partnering with Dr. David Lehmann from Upstate Hospital to reach those who feel invisible. Dr. Lehmann will be accompanying IMFK twice a week and visiting our friends outdoors. Our goal is to be a bridge in a gap of services for our friends.
GIVE HELP
PRAY: Nothing that IMFK does could possibly be successful without the continued prayer support of our Sous Chefs on a daily basis.
DONATE: IMFK is greatly supported by financial and other donations, including: clothes, housewares, bedding, towels and shoes. Donations can be dropped off any Friday 12-4 pm at 501 Hawley Ave in Syracuse, NY.
